P$O KWAMA NEW RELEASE: YOU KNOW ME
P$O Kwama has delivered another thought provoking project “YOU KNOW ME,” featuring two songs where he shares his experience and reflection of a toxic relationship. We love hearing what goes into his music because it is always so deep and inspirational through raw, real emotions. Music like this is the reason we started The Honey in the first place. So to say we are a huge fan of P$O Kwama is an understatement.
THE HONEY: WHAT IS THE STORY/MESSAGE WITH YOUR PROJECT “YOU KNOW ME”? WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION?
P$O KWAMA: “‘YOU KNOW ME’ is self-explanatory. I’m dealing with someone that I was in a relationship with and we are no longer together but yet we still got feelings. So, now we’re being toxic towards each other. We have moments where it’s all good we got moments where we’re screaming ‘I hate you,’ but at the end of the day you know me and it’s always gonna be love.”
THE HONEY: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LYRIC FROM THIS PROJECT? BREAK IT DOWN FOR US!
P$O KWAMA: “‘Distance, growing stronger help me find my way. I see through us clearly. We are not the same. Can’t believe I hurt you. I am so ashamed. Hope you could forgive me for my foolish Ways. Hope you could forgive me for my foolish pride, if we meet again, I hope it’s do or die.’
Basically I’m at a place where I’m remorseful for how things turned out. Because I have a better understanding of who I am and who I was dealing with, God willing if we meet again on better terms, we will be better people towards each other.”
THE HONEY: IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO SHARE ABOUT THIS “YOU KNOW ME”?
P$O KWAMA: “With this release I just wanted to show that I’m versatile. I can get in my alternative melodic bag and I’m speaking on real life experiences that we all go through and that’s learning how to love and heal from heartbreak.”
