Thee Unemployed New Release Oh My God

We have been waiting for this release and Thee Unemployed did not disappoint. This duo based in Austin, Texas is giving us some latin flavor with an urban twist and we didn’t realize how much we needed it. “Oh My God,” is explosive with energy and makes us break out our best salsa moves. We asked Thee Unemployed to share everything that went into their work of art because we needed to know it all.

THE HONEY: WHAT IS THE STORY WITH YOUR SONG AND WHAT INSPIRED IT?

THEE UNEMPLOYED: “The inspiration for the song came from the frequency at which new artists in all mediums come and go. Other than that it’s a pretty straight forward song with a little shit talk mixed in about how we think we are working to make a name for ourselves and be relevant in the rap world for years to come.”

THE HONEY: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LYRIC OF THE SONG? BREAK IT DOWN FOR US!

THEE UNEMPLOYED: “Oh my god you’re hot once now you’re burning out.”
“This we feel is the point of the whole song. It seems like most people are chasing a certain level of notoriety and nothing much beyond that. We want to be known for making good music for a long time.”

THE HONEY: IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO SHARE ABOUT THIS SONG?

THEE UNEMPLOYED: “It is the first and only single off of our EP, ‘Doors.” Starting with this song we will be looking to drop a lot of music to close out the year. Hoping to do another EP after Doors and then more singles. Definitely looking forward to the next few months.”
