ITSAPOLLO NEW RELEASE RUNNER

Dallas based artist, Itsapollo, released his EP “Runner” where he quite literally shares that he, along with most people, run away from their problems. The song “Runner,” has an uplifting sound we would pair with waking up in the morning and seeing the sun for the first time in a while. That optimistic moment when you realize the new day brings a new start. Itsapollo shares what that moment of realization meant to him.

THE HONEY: WHAT IS THE STORY/MESSAGE WITH YOUR SONG “RUNNER”? WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION?

ITSAPOLLO: “Do you solve your problems or just run from them? Truth is I believe everyone runs from their problems. It can look like anything: Video games, social media, drugs. For me it was parties, girls and drugs. Runner is like that morning after you realize you need to change.The inspiration is honestly my personal experience. It’s the last song on an EP that tells a story of regular night start to finish, for me title the same thing.”

THE HONEY: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LYRIC OF THE SONG? BREAK IT DOWN FOR US!

ITSAPOLLO: “’Mixing molly with percocet, Understand u should pray for me , and I don’t want to quit it yet , my life gets away from me’

I feel like it’s self explanatory these are the words of a person who realizes their problems but its gotten kinda out of their control and they don’t know how to stop.”

THE HONEY: ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO SHARE ABOUT THIS SONG? 

ITSAPOLLO: “Runner isn’t really a character or even just me. It’s someone everyone can be at times, I’d say we all should learn not to run from our problems.”
