THE HONEY: WHAT IS THE STORY/MESSAGE WITH YOUR SONG? WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION?

OLIVIER.: “I wrote back 2 me after a really difficult break up. I was lost in the space between heartbreak and moving forward. Where I could have never said such things in person, putting them in a song gave me the way to express the deep pain and longing I was experiencing. I didn’t know how to move on, and this song helped me say that.”

THE HONEY: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LYRIC OF THE SONG? BREAK IT DOWN FOR US!

OLIVIER.: “I really love the lyric ‘I’m drunk on things I wish I’d never tasted.’ I remember writing it, and just feeling speechless because it felt like one of those lyrics I could have never come up with but somehow it came out. And it connected so perfectly with what I was going through. It’s that feeling of regret that won’t leave, where all you can think about is the person who left but thinking of them leaves you absolutely undone and lower than you thought you could be. And yet, the pain of letting them go in your heart keeps you drunk on the pain of wishing they weren’t gone.”

THE HONEY: ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO SHARE ABOUT THIS SONG? 

OLIVIER.: “I waited a long time for this one to be released, so excited it’s finally out! There will also be a stripped version of the song with a music video, keep a look out because they come out soon!”
