Heaven New Release: Can’t Live Without You

New artist alert! We had the privilege to connect with Heaven about her debut single, ‘Can’t Live Without You’. Being in love comes with a whirlwind of emotions. And sometimes it happens so fast that we can’t see the attachment forming. Heaven gives us a front-row seat experience of how it feels to be consumed by a lover who you simply can’t see life without. Like most of us know, it’s difficult to remove yourself from a person who has a magnetic hold on your heart, let alone write about it. ‘Can’t Live Without You’ gives expression to these emotions, and healing to those who know all too well. We hope you enjoy listening as much as we did!

THE HONEY: WHAT IS THE STORY/MESSAGE WITH YOUR SONG? WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION?

Can’t Live Without You is a love story that expresses the frustration and loss that can come with a relationship, but also the fantastical romance that intoxicates you to never give up because the Love is so true, you could never see your life without that person, you can’t even try. The inspiration definitely was and is, Love.

THE HONEY: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LYRIC OF THE SONG? BREAK IT DOWN FOR US!

My favorite lyric would have to be “I’m seven days too weak around ya, messing up my peace about ya, I can’t even lie you call I’m here”. The first part “I’m seven days too weak around ya” is a play on words that I always thought was kind of a funny but clever way people would say “I’m weak” to something funny for example, on Twitter, by saying “I’m seven days” but in this instance I used it as a way to express how passionately weak the person you love makes you feel. The second part “messing up my peace about you” in a way describes how arguments/misunderstandings can take you out of your peace with that person and that’s kind of frustrating, but then the last part “I can’t even lie you call I’m here” just brings everything back together and serves as a reminder that yeah you might’ve just pissed me off, but I still got you, I still love you so if you need me, call me, I’m right here.

THE HONEY: ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO SHARE ABOUT THIS SONG?

I wrote this song coming out of a really intense meditation where it felt like God just dropped all of the words and creative direction about the song onto me, so it became the first song that I had finished writing and recording where I actually felt passionate enough to release it. I’m very meticulous when it comes to things I create, so I hope that everyone who listens can feel it and enjoy it as much as I did making it!
