NYNE NEW RELEASE SEASON ONE

Australian artist NYNE is new on our radar but has our full attention with her debut EP “Season One.” The titles alone were enough to draw us in including: “Villain, On My Own in Melbourne Interlude and Balmain Bandit.” Tell me more… The songs themselves are just as alluring as their titles with Lo-Fi feel beats and NYNE’s soothing voice with an edgy flair. It’s an EP you drive around to at night in the city with the windows down. VIBES.

THE HONEY: WHAT IS THE STORY/MESSAGE WITH YOUR SONG? WHAT WAS THE INSPIRATION?

NYNE: “Season One was created over a long period of time so when I hear it I definitely remember being in certain places. I think in hindsight it reflects me trying to find confidence in bravado or trying to perfect my sound.”

THE HONEY: WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE LYRIC OF THE SONG? BREAK IT DOWN FOR US!

NYNE: “I’m biased, so, I really like a lot of them BUT My favorite song would be ‘What’s Going On,’ feat Hamley but favorite lyric maybe…. Off the interlude ‘On My Own in Melbourne.’ ‘I got a lot of people bringing me down and when it’s good you know they wanna be down , I got a lot of people slowing me down it’s getting heavier to carry around.’ Probably because it’s one of the newer songs how I felt writing and producing it still feels vivid. For me the lyric means when things are going good, people want to fuck with you and when it’s not things switch up and emotionally that was getting heavier. Maybe in todays culture and with social media things don’t run as deep everything moves fast and people come and go like the seasons…but when you’re deep down sensitive sometimes it catches up on you.”

THE HONEY: ANYTHING ELSE YOU WANT TO SHARE ABOUT THIS SONG?

NYNE: “I’m really proud of this project ! I don’t think this is a sound people would expect to hear out of Australia . I hope you find a new go too song off of it.”
